Pamporovo is one of three big complexes of Skiing, together with Borovets and Bansko. The respective distances to Sofia's airport is: 240 Km Pamporovo, 170 Km Bansko and 70 Km Borovets. The distance from the airport of Plovdiv to Pamporovo is 85 Km. A highway is being constructed from Smolyan to Greece that will allow to go from Pamporovo to the coast of the Aegean Sea in 2 hours. Simultaneously the works are concluding of the highway Sofia-Plovdiv, that will allow to travel between both cities in two hours and a half.

The road Plovdiv-Pamporovo goes through mountains that makes no possible to build a highway. The road is being improved right now for adding an additional lane. The time of trip, though they are only 85 Km, could be even two hours due to the type of road and traffic. The prices of the apartments in Pamporovo, Borovets and Bansko are already high if we compare them with the rest of the country. It is a market more orientated to foreigners that to Bulgarians.
